Camden Horse & Hound Weekend: Supporting Conservation in Camden Hunt Country

The Camden Hunt Conservancy is proud to host the Camden Horse & Hound Weekend, a distinguished two-day showcase celebrating the bond between horses, hounds, and their humans within the historic landscape of Camden Hunt Country.

Taking place September 25–26, 2026, the weekend begins on Friday with the Denim & Diamonds Gala at historic Cool Springs Plantation, an elegant evening that brings together supporters, landowners, and the community in celebration of tradition and stewardship. Festivities continue on Saturday with the Camden Horse & Hound Expo at Springdale Racecourse, featuring equestrian and canine exhibitions, educational programming, regional vendors, and family-friendly experiences set across one of Camden’s most iconic sporting venues.

Designed as a curated weekend of exhibition, tradition, and outdoor sporting life, Horse & Hound highlights the cultural heritage of the Carolina Sandhills while welcoming the next generation of equestrian and outdoor enthusiasts from across the Southeast.

More than a celebration, the weekend directly supports the mission of The Camden Hunt Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting and preserving the remarkable territory of Camden Hunt Country. Proceeds from the Gala and Expo help safeguard open land, forests, trails, and the historic countryside that define this unique region of the Carolina Sandhills.

By attending Camden Horse & Hound Weekend, guests are not only participating in a meaningful and time-honored Camden tradition, but also contributing to the long-term stewardship of the landscapes that sustain the area’s heritage, environment, and rural character.

We invite supporters, families, and sporting enthusiasts alike to join us for this special weekend and play a direct role in preserving the land and legacy of Camden Hunt Country for generations to come.
